Asus Tablet Sales Generate Income 202 Million Dollars

In its latest financial report, Asus posted a 202 million dollar profit in the first quarter of 2013, which is derived from the revenues of 3.5 billion dollars. This profit was up 5.8% compared to the same quarter in 2012. Sales Asus notebook and PC components reported down.

but Asus could reap additional profits due to sales of 3 million units of tablets within 3 months at the beginning of 2013. Asus also reported an increase in the share of the United States. Asus is currently the share of business in the U.S. reaching 23%, up from 17% in early 2012.

This positive result is an increase of seven in a row for Taiwanese vendors. However, Asus predicts that sales will be flat in the coming quarter. This last statement seemed to imply that the new successor to the Nexus 7 will appear in the third quarter of 2013.
