Further he states that the product is actually a Microsoft Surface tablet because it has like a PC operating system. Additionally Surface by Bill Gates had access to the physical keyboard.
According to Gates, the post-PC era is underway, and a growing number of tablet users want a product that can still act like a PC in one way or another. Due to the limitations of the iPad both in software and hardware, according to Bill Gates, users become frustrated with the tablet because he notes the user can not type or make the document because it did not have Office.
Microsoft Surface assessed Gates has portability that can be taken anywhere should tablet but still rich (applications) as well as the PC, such as Surface PC is using full computer OS. Additionally Surface Pro has the ability to connect to a physical keyboard.
Microsoft Office applications for iOS reportedly in the works for some time, however, the new release will be done in 2014. For now iPad users for office applications can use some alternative apps like Google Drive.
