Android tablets are in the first position with a share of 56.5%, up from 39.4% in the same period in 2012. Apple iPad now shifted in the second position with a share of 39.6%, down from 58.1% a year ago. Meanwhile Microsoft Surface tablet experience a surge of 700% from the previous period, but only share reached 3.7% in total.
Of the assemblers, Apple is still the leader followed by Samsung, Asus, Amazon, and Microsoft. IPad shipments rose to 19.5 million units, while Samsung shipped about 8.8 million units, followed by Asus and Amazon. Temporal Microsoft was able to send about 900 thousand units Surface (RT and Pro).
